Background

Zoological Society is one of the oldest and not-for-profit professional societies at Tribhuvan University, and was set up with the initiative of late Prof. Dr. Shiva Shankar Singh who was the first Head of the Central Department of Zoology (CDZ). Prof. Singh registered Zoological Society of Nepal (ZSN) in 1983, almost after 18 years of establishment of Central Department of Zoology and became the founding president of ZSN.
